Alan Mullen, ATP,B-727, MD-11
Mr. Mullen brings
to LifeWings Partners LLC more
than thirty years of aviation
training and management
experience. He obtained his
Private Pilots License at the
age of sixteen. Following
graduation from Cornell
University with a Bachelor of
Science degree in Mechanical
Engineering he entered Navy
Flight Training in September of
1975. He received his Navy wings
in December of 1976 and was
named the Naval Aviation Student
of the Year.
Prior to forming Crew Training
International, Inc., Mr. Mullen
served as the Manager of Crew
Resource Management Training for
Federal Express Corporation. In
this capacity, he was
responsible for the overall
development of the airline’s CRM
and Human Factors programs. The
design, development and delivery
of pilot CRM, check airman human
factors training, glass cockpit
human factors, LOFT instructor
training courses and annual
recurrent CRM ground school
training were in his charge. He
supervised the procurement and
installation of simulator video
recording and playback equipment
for five simulators. He has also
scripted, produced and edited
multiple videos for use in all
phases of training. During his
career at FedEx, Mr. Mullen has
also served as a 727 Flight
Engineer Instructor, a 727
Simulator Check Captain, and an
MD-11 Simulator, Line Check
Airman and Flight Standards
Pilot.
