J. Doug Murray ATP, PCA, MS, Director of Programs

Captain J. Doug Murray ATP, LCA and MS is Managing Director of Programs for LifeWings. Mr. Murray joined LifeWings in 2010 and manages the Business Development, Marketing, Contracts and Technical proposals. Captain Murray brings extensive business experience to LifeWings as a former President and CEO of a financial services company for ten years as well as executive experience in corporate management.

 

Captain Murray has more than 30 years of aviation experience in both the United States Air Force and Commercial aviation. A retired Lt. Colonel and Air Force Command Pilot, Captain Murray served for 23 years in the United States Air Force as a F-16 Instructor Pilot, Flight Examiner and Weapons and Tactics Officer. Mr. Murray is a Graduate of the Prestigious U.S. Air Force Fighter Weapons School and served as Director of Weapons and Tactics in the Air Force Reserve Command during his last assignment. Mr. Murray accumulated more than 3800 hours in the F-16 Fighting Falcon and has flown more than 300 hours of combat time in The Balkans and Southwest Asia.

 

Capt. Murray has extensive experience in Crew Resource Management in both military and civilian aviation and has instructed CRM for several years.

 

Mr. Murray currently flies as a MD-11 Captain for a Major International Airline. He holds an Airline Transport Pilot Rating with Type Ratings in the MD-11, B-737, and B-727 and is a certified FAA Line Check Airman.

 

Mr. Murray graduated from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and holds both a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Science. In his spare time, Mr. Murray enjoys golfing, serving the youth of his community through the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and is an avid sports fan. Ā
