Terrence (Sonny) Morton, MD, MBA/MHA

Sonny Morton has 20 years of experience in emergency medicine, and continues to practice actively. He has considerable experience in medical management, quality improvement, and patient safety as a consultant, manager, and emergency department medical director. He has provided program implementation for many clients including the University of Missouri, University of Texas Medical Branch, and Mount Carmel Health System. Dr. Morton has particular interest in teaching skills workshops, leadership development, and problem solving.

Dr. Morton has a private pilot license with single engine land and instrument ratings. He flies frequently for business and pleasure.

Dr. Morton earned B.S. and M.D. degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the UNC School of Medicine. He completed a residency in emergency medicine at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN. Dr. Morton also received an MBA/MHA degree from Pfeiffer University at Charlotte.
