Professional Biography for
Steve Montague
Steve Montague is Vice-President of LifeWings
Partners LLC. He has been instrumental in facilitating LifeWings'
adaptation of aviation-based Hardwired Safety ToolsSM and
practices for healthcare. In the past year he has been responsible for
the courseware and training provided to over 12,000 physicians and
staff.
Prior to assuming his position at LifeWings, he was a courseware
designer of CTI’s
Crew Resource Management (CRM) training for the U.S.
Air Combat Command, Air National Guard, Air Force Reserve Command, and
hospital surgical teams.
While leading the implementation team at LifeWings, Montague also
authored and facilitated Conflict Resolution and Effective Meetings
courseware for executives, physicians, and government officials. His
broad experience in government, business, and academic venues provides a
unique perspective on adapting leadership techniques to any environment.
A qualified captain for American Airlines, Montague currently flies
internationally. He is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy.
During a distinguished naval career, he accumulated over 350 aircraft
carrier landings and was selected to be an instructor pilot at the
Navy’s elite Landing Signal Officer School. He retired from the U.S.
Naval Reserve in 2003, and continues to provide admissions counseling to
young men and women considering military service. He holds an Airline
Transport Pilot rating and Type ratings in DC-9, MD-11, B-757, and 767
aircraft.
